About Patek Philippe Watches:

Patek Philippe is known as the world's premier watchmaker. The company was founded in 1839 as a business relationship between two Polish immigrants, Antoni Patek (Businessman) and Franciszek Czapek (Watchmaker) in Geneva, Switzerland. Then in 1844 Mr. Patek met French watchmaker, Mr. Adrien Philippe in Paris, where Mr. Philippe presented pioneering watch engineering in his stem winding and setting system near the crown. Then in 1845 Czapek chose to leave the company he co-founded and to continue his activity on his own, the company name then changed to Patek & Cie. Rolex Watch was founded by a young visionary Swiss watchmaker by the name of Hans Wilsdorf, at a time when pocket watches were common place.
