HUNDRED FLOWER MOVEMENT TEAPOT AFTER MING/CHENGHUA A limited edition, well executed, large blue and white porcelain Chinese teapot with dragon motif. Created during the Hundred Flowers Cultural Revival Movement, spearheaded by Liu Xiaoqi of the People's Republic of China, in the late 1960's, by the Chinese government for the people of China. This teapot is one of the rare edition pieces created in this period that were not produced or export nor for commercial consumption purposes. The teapot is after a Ming Chenghua period (1465 - 1487) teapot on display in the Gugong Palace Museum in Beijing. Bears a Ming Chenghua stamp on bottom. Handle and body of teapot are one piece. No chips, cracks or crazing. Size: 12 x 12.5"
