JAPANESE ARITA IMARI FUKAGAWA VASE EARLY 20TH C Early 20th century Imari style vase, Fukagawa-sei, Arita, Japan. Imagery includes: pair carp fish; peonies; woman wearing kimono with obi holding a cat; a pair of scrolls; Shichi Fukujin (Seven Lucky Gods). Gilt accents to neck and lip. Bottom is marked with Fukagawa-sei mark circa 1900-1920. Comes with wooden stand. Hotei, the fat and happy god of abundance and good health. Jurojin, god of long life. Fukurokuju, god of happiness, wealth and longevity. Bishamonten, god of warriors. Benzaiten (Benten-sama), goddess of knowledge, art and beauty, especially music. Daikokuten (Daikoku), god of wealth, commerce and trade. Ebisu, god of fishers or merchants, often depicted carrying a sea bream. Weight: 27.2lbs (excluding base) Size: 19" (excluding base)
