SEVEN 19TH CENTURY LEADER AND NOBILITY SIGNATURES Interesting lot of seven signatures from 19th century leaders and nobility; Prime ministers, dictators, president, rájá, prince, and two noble families. Most in fair condition and boldly penned; Includes mounted letter cover on card by Swedish prime minister JOUIS GEHARD GEER (1818-1896); Complete with large wax seal and pencil notations, one which reads "This is the cover of the note which announced the death of Baron Rehausen, Swedish minister in London. March 1854;" Letter cover with wax seal signed by Paraguayan dictator CARLOS ANTONIO (1790-1862); Torn on lower right side and a cut hole in the center. Features four postal stamps. Small clipping with some foxing by Liberia's first president JOSEPH JENKINS ROBERTS (1809-1876) penned as "Roberts, Joseph Jenkins." Clipped letter cover mounted on card by the first rájá of Saráwak JAMES BROOKE (1803-1868); Mounted clipping on card by an APPONYI, a noble Hungarian family; Clipping with some foxing damage by a member of the POLIGNAC family, a significant French noble house; and letter cover signed by Queen Victoria's Consort PRINCE ALBERT (1819-1861); some foxing with large ink spot in bottom right corner.
